The workshop will be presented via an online platform (ZOOM) an participants will need a stable internet connection to participate.
Solution- focused brief therapy (SFBT) is future-focused, goal-directed, and focuses on solutions, rather than on the problems that brought clients/patients to seek therapy.
SFBT doesn’t require a deep dive into the client/patient’s childhood and the ways in which his/her past has influenced the present. Instead, it will root the sessions firmly in the present while working toward a future in which the client/patient’s current problems have less of an impact on his/her life.
The goal of SFBT is to find and implement a solution to the problem or problems as soon as possible to minimize time spent in therapy and, more importantly, time spent struggling or suffering.
SFBT has been successfully applied in individual, couples, and family therapy. The problems it can address are wide-ranging, from the normal stressors of life to high-impact life events.
